Beta Testing

Beta testing of the Editors Service is underway with the following aims:

• Ensure that all the functionality works.
• Illicit feedback from end users to improve the mode/service.
• Stress test the server.

The beta test is currently invite only and will be done in phases. If you are interested in beta testing Editor Mode then please let me know.

I want to be a beta tester, what do I need to do?

I'm looking for the following from beta testers.

• Have one or more projects available to send to other people for editing.
• Have an email address you are willing to give out to other people (I recommend you create a separate email account just for this service).
• Be willing to edit one or more projects from other people. The projects can be of any size or number of chapters.
• Be a current user of Quoll Writer.
• Can provide constructive criticism and accept the same. Seriously if you are going to be upset that someone doesn't like your work or style then please avoid this service!
• Is willing to provide feedback and suggestions to me about the Editors Mode.
• Be willing to download a new version of Quoll Writer and install it. You would need to uninstall the current version you have installed.

Quoll Writer cannot protect your work

Quoll Writer cannot protect your work from others. When you send someone your project you are giving them a copy of your work. There is no way to prevent them taking your work and using it in a way you didn't intend. This is exactly the same as emailing a Word document of your project to someone.

When you deal with human beings you have to trust them. A computer program cannot enforce trust it can only undermine it.

Please ensure that you understand and agree to this before joining the beta test.
